It seems every time I turn around there is a new vampire movie or TV show out, and it looks like jewelry design is following the Gothic trend- black is back!
The heavily oxidized look was front and center at Vegas, looking chicer than ever. Taking the black out of the crevices (a la Yurman) and placing it center stage transforms your average curb link into a design both stylish and edgy.
Continuing in the “tough chic” trend are scull and cross bones, daggers, and black diamonds.
We’re especially loving Barbara Bixby’s mother of pearl dagger pendant and earring set; an easy way for good girls gone bad to transition into the look.
Roberto Coin’s 18k and diamond skull and crossbones pendants from the Tiny Treasures collection are another way to toughen up your wardrobe this summer.
The look is smart and sassy. So even if you’re more Lily Pulitzer than Roberto Cavalli, jewelry is a subtle, easy way to wade into the trend.
